So not only was last night my last class of the current Computer Basics group, but it was my last class of 2007. I've been making some updates to the workbook that I'm planning to hand out next year, and there's an upcoming post this weekend about file sizes which will be included in the new workbooks.
Regarding the class themselves though, I want to say a few things. In all honesty, this group was one of the most hardworking groups I've taught to date. We had a couple of setbacks (because of my health), but overall we had a lot of fun and I think we all learnt a few things.
This was my first class where I was even able to sit back a little, because my Beautiful Assistant RandyTM was really keen to teach quite a few parts of the course for me! Randy put a lot of thought into the segments he presented and it was much appreciated by me, and enjoyable for all of the students.
Speaking of the students, I'd like to thank everyone who was involved in this course. Everyone worked hard and was able to bring something unique to the course. Without mentioning any names, I saw students with more knowledge helping those with less, students with less knowledge build their confidence, and heard almost everyone asking questions (when certain students weren't asking them on behalf of everyone else!).
Thank you all so very much! It's a very long day for me, because I start at 9am on Wednesdays and then work through till 7pm, but it makes it all worthwhile when you're all so interested. I'd love to keep in touch with you all, and I hope we see each other again soon!
