Web View: Online Shopping

An interesting little article from Backbone Magazine shows that many more people would use online shopping if shipping charges were lower, and if shipping was faster!

I have no complaints with the speed of most of my online shopping/shipping, but lower shipping charges is something I can always get behind! Ordering some of the goods for our store means I deal with quite a few wholesalers, and most of them want to ship through UPS. Which is fine within Canada, but as soon as you start looking at $50 shipping for a small metal hinge to go into a laptop, weighing about 2lbs max, it can get a little frustrating. And I'm quite satisfied that if the product is packaged appropriately, that the US Postal Service can just about handle mailing me the part (saving us an avergae of $40 per order with one of the wholesalers). Just remember to ask about those alternative shipping options. No one will think you're being rude, and at a time when we're all trying to save money on needless expenses, it could in handy!
